For more complex homes (due to size, very high radon levels, or multiple foundation types), we may recommend circumstantial add-ons to ensure optimal performance. These enhancements address unique entry points and structural needs:

  • Fan Upgrade: The optimal radon fan for a system is selected based on variables like the home’s square footage, sub-slab material, and the required number of suction points. (Custom Pricing)
  • Air-Tight Sump Lids: Securely seal open sumps to prevent radon entry and basement humidity ($349.00).
  • Additional Suction Points: Essential for effectively reducing radon in large or complex foundation layouts ($299.00).
  • Pipe Insulation: Prevents mildew, mold, and drywall moisture caused by condensation on pipes internally routed through garages and attics (Custom Pricing).
  • Foundation Crack Caulking: Sealing floor cracks to eliminate radon pathways ($3.50 per linear foot).
  • Pipe Size Upgrades: Engineered to increase suction based on your home’s specific square footage and sub-grade material composition (Custom Pricing).
  • Foam Sealing Entry Points: Seal common leakage areas, including pipe penetrations, block wall cavities, and the spaces beneath basement tubs and showers (Custom Pricing).

Aesthetic Upgrades

When aesthetics or fan placement are a key concern, we offer premium solutions to help your system blend into your home

  • System Painting: Professional color matching to make the exterior pipe virtually disappear ($399.00).
  • Fan Covers: A protective, decorative cover to hide the fan unit ($249.00).
  • Internal System Routing: For homes without many exterior placement options, we can route the system through internal closets or garages (Custom Pricing)

I would recommend Lung Radon without hesitation. The radon mitigation system in our home had gone faulty. Isaac came out, assessed the problem and installed a new fan in the system. They followed up with a 48 hour air test and provided the readings. They were very professional, communicative, and competitively priced. Would highly recommend.

I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for Radon testing and mitigation. They were able to get me on the calendar quickly, and were able to complete my installation in a single day’s work. I was impressed with their professionalism throughout the process, ensuring that I understood my options and felt comfortable with the plan every step of the way. It was evident that they completed the installation with quality material and careful consideration of my existing infrastructure in my basement.

We had a phenomenal experience with Lung Radon! Isaac and Eric were professional from the first encounter. I had concerns about my radon concentration after seeing neighbors with mitigation systems. They came out, provided a reading within 48hrs and had a mitigation proposal to me the same day. After the mitigation system install, they were able to reduce our level from 8.5 pci/L to .5 pci/L which far exceeded our expectations. Incredibly helpful with any questions we had and made the process super easy. Highly recommend!

The team at Lung Radon conducted a radon test and ended up installing a mitigation system in my home.

They were professional; they answered all of my questions and took the time to walk me through everything before and after they installed the system.

I hardly even notice it on my home and I don’t hear it at all, but now I know that there isn’t any radon in my home hurting me and my family.

Frequently Asked Questions

Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that comes from the decay of uranium in soil, rock, and water. It is colorless, odorless, and tasteless.

Radon can enter homes through cracks in foundations, gaps around pipes, sump pumps, and other openings in the structure. It can also be present in well water and released into the air when water is used.

Radon is dangerous because it can accumulate in enclosed spaces like homes and buildings. When inhaled, it can damage lung tissue and increase the risk of lung cancer, especially with long-term exposure.

A radon mitigation system is a specialized system designed to reduce radon gas levels inside a building.

What is radon? Most tests run for 48 hours using continuous radon monitors.

No. The test is non-intrusive and requires closed windows.

The EPA recommends mitigation for levels at or above 4.0 pCi/L.

We recommend testing at least every two years or when major home changes occur (renovations, HVAC changes, foundational work).

No. Radon is invisible and enters in complex ways; only accurate testing reveals levels.

IAQ tests assess pollutants like VOCs, mold spores, allergens, and chemicals; radon testing measures only radioactive gas levels.
